On 11 October in Bangkok, roasters brought their preparation to the final round of the Santoker Asian Coffee Roasting Championship, working through profile, energy and batch decisions.

Espresso Academic joined HB Roaster in organising a tasting activity featuring Thai Specialty Coffee Awards 2026 coffees. Our campus supported the venue and cupping event, opening a space to explore award-winning Thai coffee together.

Our UAC Cup Taster 2026 results celebrated Nataporn Charoenpipatpimpa as Champion, จิรายุทธ อุ่นคำ as Runner-Up and วาสนา เฮงรักษา in third place. Their performances gave us a way to discuss both sensory accuracy and decision-making under pressure.

After UAC Cup Taster 2026, we returned to the tasting sets to ask what the results could teach our coffee community. The format was simple: three cups, with one different cup to identify.

Ethiopia, Reimagined brought Sasa Sestic and the coffee community together at Espresso Academic for tasting and discussion about processing innovation. The session explored Ethiopian coffee through the stories and development work behind it.

At FABB Open House 2026, Espresso Academic helped design a roasting competition built around one challenge: create a target roast, then repeat it.

Roasting, competition techniques, water and sensory assessment brought participants together for UAC’s workshop sessions on 27 April in Bangkok.

Bom, Thailand’s World Brewers Cup 2025 representative, shared competition experiences from Jakarta during a brewing and tasting workshop at our Bangkok campus on 14 June 2025.

UAC 2024 brought together Latte Art, Cup Tasters and Brewers Cup champions, with support from judges, sponsors and our organising team.

On 17–18 August 2024, our Bangkok campus welcomed Young Latte Art Competition participants for two days of coffee, creativity and community.

A free workshop at Espresso Academic in Bangkok explored competition rules, scoresheets and sensory testing with aspiring judges, competitors and coffee learners.

Young Baek and Jibbi’s Cup Tasters Grand Battle took place at our Bangkok venue on 10 December 2023, with an Academic team member finishing second.

At World of Coffee Athens 2023, MEKA and our alumni helped bring eleven Thai Robusta coffees to an international cupping table.

ROEST practice, shared roast profiles and cupping brought roasting competitors together at the Academy in October 2022.
