Judge Introduction: Preparing Together for Coffee Competitions

Competition judging begins with careful preparation. Our Judge Introduction workshop at Espresso Academic Thailand brought aspiring judges, competitors and interested coffee learners together at MunMun Srinakarin in Bangkok.

The workshop explored competition rules, coffee knowledge, applying those rules to scoresheets and sensory testing. Participation was free, creating an opportunity for people on different sides of the competition table to develop a clearer understanding of the process.

As the workshop concluded, we sent our encouragement to the team members taking part in judge selection examinations. We also encouraged everyone to keep learning, including those who would not progress that year. Thank you to all who joined us and contributed to this shared preparation for Thailand’s coffee competitions.
