UAC Workshop Day: Roasting, Water and Competition Learning

The workshop sessions on 27 April brought another kind of energy to UAC 2026 in Bangkok. Alongside the competition, participants gathered to explore roasting, competition techniques, water and its effect on sensory experience, and approaches to assessment shared by judges familiar with the competition stage.

The day offered time to listen, ask questions and exchange ideas. Bringing these conversations into UAC gave competitors and visitors opportunities to learn from different perspectives and connect with others working in coffee.

Roasting, tasting and brewing involve decisions that become clearer through discussion and practice. The workshop atmosphere gave the community a space to consider those decisions together while the wider event continued around them.
