Four Espresso Academy reports published in September 2017 document distinct training activities for international learners in Florence. Together, they show a range of formats rather than one shared class.

A report published on 24 September described a five-day Coffee Route that took place “this week.” The school listed coffee enthusiasts from Costa Rica, Malaysia, Russia, Switzerland, China and Kona, Hawaii. The reported sequence was cupping and tasting, two days of Advanced Barista, Brewing, and Roasting. The report names trainers Gabriele and Robert and mentions a roastery tour. It does not give the route’s calendar dates or participant names.

A report published on 15 September described two days of Advanced Barista Training for Cathy from Toronto, Canada, with trainer Robert. It mentioned espresso and cappuccino practice, tasting, and a theoretical introduction to coffee. The report does not say when those two training days took place.

A 21 September report welcomed visitors from Scotland for a three-hour Coffee Discovery course with trainer Kaai. The programme included a roastery visit and practical work on the espresso machine. The report does not name the visitors or provide the course date.

On 29 September, the Academy reported two more activities: a morning Coffee Discovery course for two unnamed visitors from the United States, led by Kaai Iwano, and private latte-art training for an unnamed Indonesian barista with trainer Simone. The latte-art practice focused on rosetta and tulip patterns, symmetry and contrast. This report describes those sessions as taking place “today,” making 29 September the supported event date for these two activities.

These reports document international participation and varied coffee education in Florence, from a multi-topic course route to introductory and private training. They do not report certificates or examination results, and the learner names are limited to those stated by the sources.

This feature is based on Espresso Academy Firenze’s original reports and describes partner activity outside our Bangkok campus. We’re proud to be part of the wider coffee community and continue learning alongside colleagues across the network.
