Espresso Academy’s Coffee Workshops in Riyadh, December 2017

In December 2017, Espresso Academy travelled to Riyadh for the Coffee & Chocolate International Exhibition. A 1 December announcement listed workshops for 4–6 December, and a 16 December recap later reported that the three-day programme had taken place.

The recap describes teaching for Saudi baristas and coffee businesspeople, with topics including barista skills, café management, latte art and green coffee selection. The earlier programme also listed sessions on green coffee, roasting and tasting, coffee quality, café menu development, and coffee-and-chocolate appreciation. The announcement named Gabriele Cortopassi, Simone Celli and Robert Brinck in its planned trainer programme; it does not identify who led each individual session.

The recap also describes a visit to Camel Step Coffee Roasters to try single-origin coffees. This records a visit as part of the trip; it does not establish a formal partnership.

Together, the two reports preserve one event story: an international coffee education programme in Riyadh and a related roastery visit. They do not provide participant names or counts, session-by-session dates, or certificate outcomes.

This feature is based on Espresso Academy Firenze’s original report and describes partner activity outside our Bangkok campus. We’re proud to be part of the wider coffee community and continue learning alongside colleagues across the network.
