Coffee Learning Across Borders: Vietnam Origin Travel and Sri Lankan Students in Florence, 2016
An Espresso Academy diary published on 29 November 2016 describes two coffee-learning activities. The school reports leading a group in Vietnam from 18 to 28 November on a journey into coffee origins and plantations. Captions on the original page refer to roasting samples for cupping on a farm and a class held in a plantation, but the diary does not identify the farms, cities or detailed itinerary.
The same post describes a separate five-day coffee and barista course then underway in Florence. It notes two participants from Sri Lanka who were preparing to open a coffee shop. The source does not provide the course dates or say that these participants joined the Vietnam trip.
The diary places origin learning and hands-on academy training side by side in the school’s 2016 account. It also announced a planned Honduras journey for January 2017; that future plan is not evidence that the trip later took place.
This feature is based on Espresso Academy Firenze’s original report and describes partner activity outside our Bangkok campus. We’re proud to be part of the wider coffee community and continue learning alongside colleagues across the network.
