UAC Geisha Roasting: Evaluation Opens the Semi-Final to 24 Competitors

After calibration and the evaluation of 60 coffee samples, UAC Geisha Roasting 2026 announced its semifinalists. The field grew from the planned 18 competitors to 24, reflecting the close scores and quality of the submitted coffees.

The evaluation team worked through the samples with care before making the selection. Expanding the field gave more competitors an opportunity to demonstrate their approach on the competition machines in the next round.

The announcement also set out the practice arrangements: 80 minutes per competitor, followed by a reset period for the team. Competitors would practise on the same machine assigned to them for the semifinal, helping them prepare for the equipment and timing of the next stage.
