SCA Barista Intermediate: Shared Practice in the Classroom
Updated: 4 days ago
Tasting, comparing and learning together: these classroom photographs capture our international-program students in SCA Barista Intermediate at Espresso Academic Thailand. Around the coffee table, students had time to pay attention to the cup and share their observations.
The three-day course programme connects those observations with practical work behind the bar. It covers coffee varieties, processing and roast levels, espresso machines and grinders, and the preparation of six familiar coffee drinks. Water hardness, alkalinity and total dissolved solids are introduced alongside espresso tasting, extraction and grind adjustment.
Milk texture and temperature are another part of that practice, helping students connect preparation techniques with the drinks they serve. Thank you to the students who joined us. Explore the original classroom photographs below.
