SCA Barista Intermediate: A Lively First Day in Bangkok
Updated: 4 days ago
A lively first day welcomed six students from China to our SCA Barista Intermediate classroom at Seacon Square Srinakarin, Bangkok. The photographs capture learners gathering around coffee samples, asking questions and getting started together.
Our three-day programme connected coffee knowledge with practical work behind the bar. It covered coffee species, processing and roast levels alongside espresso equipment, basic drinks, water analysis, espresso tasting and extraction, and milk techniques.
Online preparation before class helped leave more classroom time for practice. From examining samples to understanding the machine and grinder, the aim was to give learners a clearer reason for the choices they make when preparing coffee.
Thank you to this group for bringing so much energy to the room. Browse the original first-day photographs below.
