Learning Together Behind the Bar: SCA Barista Intermediate in Bangkok

Five learners from China brought a lively atmosphere to our SCA Barista Intermediate classroom at MunMun Srinakarin, Bangkok. This May 2024 recap captures shared practice behind the bar, including careful work with milk and espresso.

The three-day programme combined online preparation with hands-on learning. It connected coffee and roast knowledge with the machine and grinder, espresso tasting and extraction, water analysis and milk techniques.

Learning alongside others means there is time to watch, try and compare. In the original photograph, learners concentrate on pouring milk into espresso together, turning a practical explanation into something they can work on at the bar.
