Lao Coffee Culture at the ASEAN Roasting Championship

Seeing our students from Laos compete as Lao Coffee Culture made ASEAN Coffee Roasting Championship 2026 especially meaningful for Espresso Academic. The regional stage took place at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani during THAIFEX–HOREC Asia in Thailand.

Our message recognised the practice, lessons and experience behind reaching that stage. Competition gave the team a new setting in which to test their work and take part in the growing ASEAN coffee community.

We sent encouragement to Lao Coffee Culture and the other teams competing. The original photographs show the concentration around the roasting station, with competitors working beside the equipment and recording their observations. It was a moment to celebrate our students taking their learning beyond the classroom and sharing it with the regional coffee community.
