From the Classroom to the Lao Coffee Community: Khoon and Slurp

Our alumni’s work continues beyond the classroom. This update celebrated Tee Noi from KHOON Coffee and Pop from Slurp Coffee Co, whose teams were helping organise the Lao AeroPress Championship 2026.

Both are alumni of Espresso Academic Thailand. The original post described their Q Grader training in February and their SCA Roasting Skills learning, building knowledge in coffee evaluation, roast profiles and quality control.

Their next step brought that learning into the wider Lao coffee community. The championship would select a representative for the World AeroPress Championship 2026 in Mexico, supported by the work of the local organising teams.

We are proud to have been part of their education and to see them share knowledge and create opportunities for others. The original announcement records this chapter in their journey and credits the people working behind the competition.
