On 26 February 2016, Espresso Academy hosted a special course on espresso-machine cleaning and maintenance in Florence. The academy’s diary, published the following day, described a lesson led by Andrea Antonelli.
The topics named in the report included backflushing, the grinder and its burrs, the steam wand, and other parts of espresso-machine care. The academy said a number of people attended the maintenance course; it did not provide an attendance total.
The academy described Antonelli as a three-time Italian latte-art champion. That achievement is attributed to the original institutional post. The article does not claim a certificate, formal partnership, or later course outcome.
This story is based on Espresso Academy Firenze’s original diary and documents activity in Florence, Italy, not classes at our Bangkok campus. We’re proud to be part of the wider coffee community and continue learning alongside colleagues across the network.
