Celebrating Max: Sensory Learning and Maneepruek Competition Success

Congratulations to Panuwat Chumsuwanwattana, known to us as Max, on becoming Maneepruek Cup Tester 2025 champion. He also achieved 3rd Runner Up in the Maneepruek Drip Battle 2025, bringing his sensory practice to two different competition challenges.

Max’s learning journey has included SCA Sensory Foundation, Intermediate and Professional, followed by Coffee Value Assessment and the Q Evolved examination pathway. Each stage has offered opportunities to practise tasting, build a shared vocabulary and develop confidence in evaluating coffee.

Sensory skills connect many parts of coffee work, from green coffee and roasting to brewing and evaluation. Max’s competition achievements give us another reason to celebrate the effort our learners put into developing those skills over time.

Thank you to the Maneepruek team, Thailand Drip Battle and the judges for their work on the event. We were happy to be part of the coffee community gathered there, and we remain ready to support our alumni as they continue learning and challenging themselves.
