A Barista Intermediate learner works with a milk pitcher at an espresso station, wearing an Espresso Academic apron.

Ivy, Baifern, Jeed and Mix joined our SCA Barista Intermediate classroom at Seacon Square Srinakarin, Bangkok. The original photographs capture practical work at the espresso station, where learning moves from an explanation to a task in your own hands.

The three-day programme combined preparation through online materials with classroom practice. Learners explored coffee and roast levels, espresso machines and grinders, basic drinks, water analysis, espresso tasting and extraction, and milk techniques.

Tasting espresso and adjusting the grind were part of the programme’s approach to understanding preparation. Milk practice brought attention to foam texture and the differences between drinks such as cappuccino and latte.

Thank you to this group for learning with us. The original classroom album below keeps those moments at the bar together.
