Two Days of CVA Descriptive and Affective Practice

Two days of Coffee Value Assessment practice brought our learners together around new forms, shared cups and plenty of conversation. At Espresso Academic Thailand, the class worked with SCA’s CVA approach through a range of cupping activities.

Descriptive and Affective forms, the CATA list and the Hedonic Scale were all part of the practice. Our classroom photographs show the assessment sheets being discussed alongside the Affective Assessment presentation, then brought into the learning process at the cupping table.

The atmosphere was friendly and open. Learners shared their experiences and compared perspectives as they explored different ways of evaluating coffee.
