Sensory Performance D: Learning with Ida Steen and Morten Münchow

Our final Sensory Performance D album, shared in May 2023, captures a classroom session in Bangkok from the programme with Ida Steen and Morten Münchow in collaboration with Espresso Academy Thailand.

The photographs show participants following a presentation on training and calibration through a video-conference display. People gathered in the classroom while the shared screen connected them with the presentation, preserving a glimpse of how this sensory learning took place.

In an earlier account, participant Wolfgang Wippel described working through tastes and scents with Morten at the school. Identifying the liquids and aromas in front of the group made sensory performance a practical exercise in attention and recognition.

Our follow-up on July 1, 2023 let students know that printed books and certificates for the Roasting Masterclass and Sensory Performance D programme had been dispatched. That later update is linked below as part of the story after the classroom sessions.
