Learning to describe coffee starts with paying attention to what we smell and taste. Our April 2021 recap celebrated a completed private EA Coffee Tasting and Cupping course together with EA Coffee Roasting and Blending at our Bangkok academy.

The tasting lessons introduced sensory perception and aroma recognition, then moved into describing bitterness, acidity, body and other sensations in coffee. The original photograph captures this concentration, with aroma samples in the foreground and a learner exploring a sample behind them.

Bringing these subjects together gave the course a focus on both making coffee and evaluating it. Thank you to the learners who joined us for this part of their coffee education. Explore the original album below.
