From Brewing Class to Café Service: Maybelline’s Kiss Proof Café

Two days of learning helped prepare our baristas and trainers for Maybelline’s Kiss Proof Café in October 2020. The programme combined EA Brewing and SCA Brewing Intermediate, covering coffee, extraction, technique and service.

The project connected that preparation with a working café. Our team supported decoration, service and technical equipment, while academy trainers and EA-trained members worked behind the bar. Our launch recap named the Samantha Smart Brewer and Stagg EKG among the tools used during busy service.

We also thanked Gulf for brewing coffee for fans during the café’s meet-and-greet. The original project albums bring together the team’s preparation, the launch and that guest-service moment.

These photographs preserve a different side of coffee education: preparing people and equipment for a shared service experience beyond the classroom.
