EA Cupping & Tasting: Building Confidence at the Table

1 min read

Our EA Cupping & Tasting class brought learners together to smell, taste and describe coffee more carefully. Participants shared their perspectives at the table as they developed the words to explain what they noticed.

Learners practised building aroma memory and recognising sweetness, acidity and bitterness. Cupping and comparison created opportunities to record flavour and tasting notes, alongside observing body, aftertaste and balance.

The session also explored differences associated with origin, processing and roasting. Each sample became another chance to connect a sensory experience with words that other people could understand, rather than ending the discussion with a simple like or dislike.

Confidence grows through repeated observation and conversation. Thank you to all our learners for the attention and curiosity they brought to the table. The original album preserves those hands-on moments and the atmosphere of learning together.
