Continuing to Learn: Coffee Value Assessment in Athens

Our Athens trip in June 2023 included time for Natt to return to the learner’s seat. Back-to-back sessions with Kim Elena Ionescu and Dr. Mario R. Fernández-Alduenda focused on understanding and applying the SCA Coffee Value Assessment.

The sessions explored the evolved cupping protocol and the new assessment form. Our update at the time described the aim of returning with a clearer understanding of how to use it and answer questions about the changes.

Continuing to learn is part of our work as trainers. This was an opportunity to study with the people explaining the assessment and bring that learning back to our coffee community. Revisit the original photographs and June update below.
