Coffee and Calculations: A First-Day Extraction Lesson

“ExD = TxB” was the starting point for a first-day lesson shared in October 2021. Our caption joked that the day began with mathematics, putting coffee calculations at the centre of the learning.

The original photograph shows the practical setting around that lesson: cups of espresso, handheld measurement instruments and close attention to a coffee sample. It brings the numbers back to the work taking place at the table.
