Barista Class Highlights in Bangkok: Espresso, Milk and Working Behind the Bar

Bangkok, Thailand • From our October 2026 class photo archive

Our Barista class photographs bring together the people, practice and small details behind making a cup of coffee. Alongside the class portraits are moments at the espresso machine, milk preparation and students taking time to work through their notes.

The accompanying class post describes a practical introduction to working behind the bar: using the espresso machine, adjusting the grinder, understanding dose, yield and shot time, and preparing familiar coffee drinks. These are variables students can observe and work with, rather than numbers to remember without context.

Milk texture, equipment care and basic workflow also belong in that picture. A good learning session makes room for questions: what should we check when a shot runs too quickly, why does a grinder adjustment matter, or what might have changed when milk texture is not smooth?

This collection is a look at Barista learning at Espresso Academic in Bangkok. It includes the shared classroom moments as well as the hands-on work, because both are part of the experience students take with them.

Thank you to our students for bringing their attention and curiosity to the bar. Explore the original album below for more class photographs.
